Gianna Carrano, an Italian photographer who lives between Italy and Spain, presents her works, mainly in black and white, both nationally and internationally.

In the exhibition ‘Hanging by a thread’ which he presented in 2009 at the Museo della Energia – A2A FOUNDATION – in Milan, he tells the theme of balance and its precariousness with a technological installation of ultrasounds that are activated when passing in front of the photos.

She has participated in the editions of the MilanoPhotoFestival ( 2011 – 2012 – 2013 – 2014)with the exhibitions ‘From the sea to the shining sea’, ‘Narciso’ and ‘Narciso & Dark Memories’.

‘Abriendo puertas’ (2015) is a path of art and performances of music and dance that the artist staged in Menorca and which was subsequently presented in Barcelona with the “Opening Doors” exhibition at the Italian Cultural Institute of Barcelona IIC Barcellona) She was the protagonist of the International Contemporary Art Fair 2014-Donostiartean – San Sebastian

and of the International Art LGBTE -SALIIGIIA – Ex Manifattura Tabacchi of Turin. With the installation ‘Las aguas del deseo’, she participated in the ‘Illes dArt2′ project with an exhibition itinerary that ended at the Casal Solleric Museum in Palma De Mallorca.

In 2017 she was invited to Taipei-TAIWAN as the protagonist of a series of events entitled ‘Gianna Carrano – The storyteller behind black & white – which took place for months in the K’space – Eslite Xsin Yi space.

In August 2019, the ‘Arachne in the spider’s web’ exhibition opens in the spectacular location of the Antiguo Hospital De La Isla Del Rey, in the middle of the port of Mahon, in Menorca. In March 2020 ‘Arachne in the spider’s web’ it was inaugurated in the headquarters of the Fundación Sa Nostra, the former medieval San Antonio hermitage, in Mahon, Menorca and,on 24 June 2021, he moves to Milan and the exhibition opens in the historic headquarters of the Humanitaria Society in Milan with the patronage, among others, of the Municipality of Milan, the Lombardy Region and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies.

In February 2021, the exhibition ‘Black Venus – La tierra se vuelve color’ is invited to participate in the TrentoArtFestival and in December/ January 2022 in the Manchester 2020 VR Exhibition in the Deansgate Gallery.

2023March 24/April 15 – ‘ULYSSES WAS HERE’ – Cloister of Carmen – Mahon MenorcaWith reference to the mythological hero Ulysse, the protagonist of a Long epic wandering in unknown territories. His journey becomes a metaphor for the “Way of Man” in search of his soul.
